A simple and innocent 9 years old monk(Do-nyeom), an adolescent
monk(Jung-shim) who’s recently paying extreme attention on his
appearance and a basically generous but sometimes outrageously
violent old master monk. They all live together at a quiet and
secluded temple in a mountain.
Seasons turn and turn but whom Do-nyeom is waiting for is not
coming yet even though the uncle Cho-bu down the villiage said
to Do-nyeom that his mother will come when the balloon flowers
blossom.
Do-nyeom wonders why Jung-shim keeps asking the master monk
for money. Given that he is a monk, there isn’t much place to
spend them. He doesn’t need hair cut nor a shampoo and cloths.
Jung-shim says he needs money for the phimosis operation but
Do-nyeom doesn’t know what that is.
The pretty woman who started visiting the temple came again
today. Do-nyeom wishs she was his mother. She told the master
monk that she wants to adopt Do-nyeom but he says no to her.
Do-nyeom is disappointed by that while Jung-shim can’t hide
he has a feeling about her..
